Privacy Policy

Invosmith ("we", "us") operates invosmith.com, a free invoice generator. This policy describes what data we handle and what we do with it. The short version: the invoices you create stay in your browser — we never see them. The only personal data we collect is an email address if you choose to join our waitlist, plus basic, aggregated analytics.
Your invoice data stays in your browser
Everything you type into the invoice generator — your name, your client's details, line items, amounts, logos — is processed entirely in your browser. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. When you download a PDF, the file is generated on your device.
To make the tool convenient, your draft invoice is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off. You can erase it at any time with the "Clear all" button in the generator, or by clearing your browser's site data. We have no access to it and no copy of it.
What we do collect
Waitlist email. If you enter your email to hear about paid features, we store that address and use it only to send you product updates about Invosmith. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your address at any time by writing to privacy@invosmith.com. We keep waitlist addresses until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion.
Analytics. We collect aggregated usage statistics — such as page views and clicks on buttons like "Download PDF" — to understand how the tool is used. This data does not include the contents of your invoices.
Server logs. Our hosting provider processes standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. We can't read your invoices — they never reach us.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We will update this table before any new provider touches personal data.
Cookies & local storage
We do not use cookies. Our analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless and does not track you across sites. The only thing stored on your device is the browser local storage described above — your own draft invoice and tool preferences (currency, template style), which never leave your device.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since the only personal data we hold is a waitlist email address and aggregated analytics, the practical version is simple: email privacy@invosmith.com and we will delete your address and confirm within 30 days.
Children
Invosmith is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
When we launch paid features (accounts, invoice sending, payments, AI import), we will handle more data than described here — and we will update this policy before those features go live, with a new effective date at the top. Material changes will be announced on this page.
