Invoice Template (Word)

The same invoice layout as a .docx file for working offline or in Microsoft Word. It also opens in Google Docs as a manual fallback.

You'll need to be signed in to a Google account for the copy step — that's Google's requirement, not ours. We never see your document, your clients, or your numbers.

01

Why use a Google Docs invoice template?

Google Docs edits anywhere, saves changes as you type, and lets you share a link instead of sending attachments. It is a useful format for short invoices where clean presentation matters most.

02

How the copy flow works

When the Copy button is available, Google opens its Make a copy screen. The copy lands in your Drive as your own private document; the master remains read-only.

03

Google Docs vs Google Sheets for invoices

Docs gives you a clean document you type into. Google Sheets invoice template gives you live line math. Choose Sheets when calculations are the problem; choose Docs when the page itself is the priority.

04

What the Docs format does well — and what it will not do

Docs is a word processor, not a spreadsheet. You type the quantities, rates, tax amount and total yourself. Nothing recalculates behind your back, but it also means the format is not a substitute for a spreadsheet when you need formulas.
