Invosmith is a browser-based invoice generator for freelancers, contractors, and small service businesses. It helps people create, preview, and download a clear invoice without requiring an account for the core workflow.

The product focuses on the practical parts of billing: business and client details, line items, totals, payment terms, and a document the recipient can read. Free templates and guides are available for common jobs and billing moments.

Founder

Invosmith was founded and is maintained by Hao Xu, a student and independent product builder. Hao has previously built other AI applications and is actively learning about invoicing, tax-related document context, and small-business billing needs while building tools that make the first invoice easier to create.

This is a product-builder perspective, not construction, tax, legal, or accounting advice. Users remain responsible for checking the requirements, rates, records, and terms that apply to their own work and location.

How the product approaches billing tools

An invoice should make a real transaction easier for both sides to understand. Invosmith therefore aims to keep the key facts visible: who is billing, who is being billed, what work or goods are covered, how the total was calculated, and when payment is due.

Templates and guidance are designed to support that recordkeeping task. They do not replace a contract, professional advice, or the documents a customer, industry, or local rule requires.
